Treatment for Endometriosis is quite difficult. There are no particular treatments that can cure Endometriosis. They can only control the disease. No one knows the exact causes of Endometriosis. If this is neglected it leads to many of the health problems. So proper treatment should be taken to control this disease. There are several types of treatments available for Endometriosis. They vary in their cost. The main aim of treatment is to alleviate the symptoms. The women with Endometriosis who have no symptoms do not require any type of treatment.

Points to be considered while treating an Endometriosis patient:

 

 

The doctor should know the severity of the symptom. What type of symptoms that the patient is getting. The age of the patient plays an important role in the treatment. It is necessary to know weather the patient has a desire to get pregnant or not. The duration or length of the treatment should be intimated to the patient.

Medications used for treating Endometriosis:

 

There are many types of medication used for treating Endometriosis. Hormone medication is used to stimulate pregnancy or menopause. Two natural conditions that are known to inhibit the disease. Birth control pills are prescribed to stimulate the hormonal environment of pregnancy. The pills must be taken continuously without pausing for withdrawal bleeding. This will be effective against Endometriosis.

The hormone medication is the most common and frequently used treatment for Endometriosis. During treatment with danazol the level of the estrogen becomes very low. This level is the low level characteristic of natural menopause. Danazol is an expensive medication. This medication is usually prescribed for six months or more. But the large endometriotic cysts of the ovary are normally resistant to the drug. The gonadotropin releasing hormone analogues are the newest category of hormones used for endometriosis treatment.

The analogues can be given in the form of special injections. Every day these release small quantities of drug. They allow administration at monthly breaks. Mainly the treatment is used for the Endometriosis to shrink sufficiently. Pregnancy cannot occur during the treatment. The medical therapy is not advised for the patients who are infertile.
